Take a trip down memory lane, most African countries victory before the so called independence was realized with blood of tyrants and martyrs shed. Victory is not something you get on a platter of gold it's contended for with much gory and pain.
Imagine the picture of two wrestlers contending for an heavy weight champion title and probably fixed up in a cage fight; your imaginary observation is obviously the same as mine.
Jesus Christ had a clear understanding of what it is to obtain victory via the shedding of blood. It's written in Revelation 12:11 that "and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb.....", Look at the connection there "overcame" which is synonymous yo victory and "blood". Talk about the Israelites, the mystery of the blood of sprinkling was the seal that gave them victory over death when the Angel of death passed through Egypt in Exodus chapter 12 and till this day the use of the mystery of the blood to obtain victory is still practiced by many(such blood of sprinkling).
So what am i painting, indeed victory over addiction, obstacles, sin, generational curses and many more demands/requires a price which is blood but out of ignorance most of us still pay these prices with our blood or with the blood of other innocent people as demanded by the ao called gods or diety not knowing that Christ paid this price with His precious blood while at calvary and that's why our victory is sanctioned.
Who are the 'our'? From Romans 8:14 and John 1:12 it's thise that recieves Jesus Christ and are led by the spirit of God.
You've struggled long enough on your own with those antagonist;
You've stated overtime in that valley of defeat;
You've used all your resources (financial strength, emotional strength and even the physical strength) and it's all to no avail being ignorant of Zechariah 4:6"...not by power nor by might...", I Samuel 2:9"...for by strength shall no man prevail..." and Daniel 11:32b"... those that know their God shall be strong and do exploit".
If you've had enough of defeat while not join the family of those whose price for victory has been paid and all they do is take the required responsibilities and claim their victory.
It's better late than never cos victory is a bloody business for those outside Christ and an inheritance for those in Christ John 16:33.
